I chose this photo of my sister protesting because her sign says it all. Cruelty IS NOT strength. These detention facilities, as the media and administration like to refer to them as, are cruel and inhuman. They are concentration camps. The VP traveled there with Senators and tried to spin it into something that was OK, even while the media witnessed the men contained talking of how they have been held longer than they were legally supposed to be held and have been denied simple decent things like a shower. Isn’t it just like the GOP to have the VP go to a facility that was all just men? You think they were trying to send a message? “Oh look at all these scary, foreign men we’re stopping from coming into the country to steal your things and rape your women.”. You know that’s exactly the narrative they were going for. And Pence had the gall to say CNN was lying when they were just playing video of the visit. Here are some tweets about his visit:

This NIGHTMARE must end NOW. Call your Rep and Senators daily…. especially if they are GOP. Not sure if we can accomplish the feat of actually getting a GOPer to break from Trump on this, but it can’t hurt to try. Sadly, many of them consider themselves Christians and don’t see anything wrong with this. To me, a practicing Christian, they are NOT.
For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ He said ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
