From CNN: Pelosi says House will take up resolution following Trump's 'xenophobic tweets'
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Monday said that Republican lawmakers "must join" Democrats in "condemning the President's xenophobic tweets" and urged Democrats to support a resolution put forward by House Democratic lawmakers.
It’s unclear when the resolution will be introduced or voted on, but it’s clear Pelosi is planning to put Republicans on the spot. And no matter how irritating she may find AOC and the other freshpeople, it is also clear she stands up for them.
Update: from the Washington Post:
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) on Monday urged support for an upcoming resolution that would condemn tweets by President Trump in which he said that a group of minority, liberal congresswomen should “go back” to their home countries.
In a letter to Democratic colleagues, Pelosi said that Trump had gone “beyond his own low standards using disgraceful language about Members of Congress” and that Democrats would “forcefully respond to these disgusting acts.”
The WaPo story adds:
And a House vote condemning Trump would also put Republicans on record about comments that have been widely criticized as racist. Congressional Republicans have largely stayed silent on the matter, fearful of chastising a leader in the White House who is popular with the GOP base.
As of now, Trump has not tweeted. Cue the sh!tstorm in 3 … 2 … 1

Twitter response from Trump (via WaPo):
AOC tweeted this in response:
“It’s important to note that the President’s words yday, telling four American Congresswomen of color ‘go back to your own country,’ is hallmark language of white supremacists,” she wrote. “Trump feels comfortable leading the GOP into outright racism, and that should concern all Americans.”
Also, while Collins was doing her usual mouth mealing, Sen. Murkowski was pretty blunt:
Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska), another moderate Republican, also spoke out about Trump’s tweets.
“There is no excuse for the president’s spiteful comments — they were absolutely unacceptable and this needs to stop,” she said on Twitter.
And finally, the WaPo editorial:
But his Sunday tweets are among the most despicable comments from any president in recent memory — with the only competition coming from other comments by Mr. Trump. Sadly, the poison by now is no more surprising than the cowardly complicity of the Republican Party.

About an hour ago, the House released the text of its resolution. CNN has it up here. The title is “Condemning President Trump’s racist comments directed at Members of Congress.

Also, Steve Cohen (D-TN) (full disclosure; he's a distant cousin) has introduced a resolution of censure, which has 9 co-sponsors, including the Squad.
“People need to understand that the President has crossed a red line in his chaotic commentary. Congress must censure him for this un-American and un-Presidential language,” Cohen said in a statement. The Hill
