President Donald Trump made up a story that he narrowly avoided boarding a helicopter that crashed and killed five people, according to a former longtime executive of the Trump Organization. Barbara Res, who was the company’s vice president in charge of construction, recalled to MSNBC’s Ari Melber on Tuesday how three Trump casino executives and two crew members were killed in the October 1989 disaster. They were returning to Atlantic City from promoting a boxing match in New York City when the aircraft went down. xTwo Trump casino executives died in that 1989 helicopter crash: Steve Hyde and Mark Etess. Their families also know that Trump lied about avoiding the crash in order to get media attention for himself -- and instead of honoring his deceased partners and their grieving families. https://t.co/xLyej46coc— Tim O'Brien (@TimOBrien) August 1, 2019 “It wasn’t very long” after the crash “that he was putting out the word that he was supposed to be on that plane or that helicopter, and he didn’t at the last minute, he got pulled off the plane,” Res said. “In other words, he’d be dead now.” Res condemned Trump for “making himself part of the story, a very important story and undermining the fact that three people died, just like he is undermining what happened in 9/11 by exploiting it.” www.huffpost.com/...

After he died, he said to me "Sir, Thank you for everything you've done." And he was crying, and this is a big dead guy, but he was crying.#TrumpEulogiesâ Joel Gleicher (@JoelG_88) August 1, 2019

âÂÂI said OMG thatâÂÂs disgusting. I turned away. I couldnâÂÂt..he was right in front of me & I turned away. I didnâÂÂt want to touch him. HeâÂÂs bleeding all over the place. You know, beautiful marble floor, didnâÂÂt look like it. It changed color. Became very redâ #TrumpEulogies pic.twitter.com/6edTCMsoh2— Ron Shaw (@s99_ron) August 1, 2019

Nope. We are poking fun at a malignant narcissist here, one who is doing more than anyone else in the nationâÂÂs history to bring our politics into the gutter. It may be unpleasant for some to face that fact, but itâÂÂs a fact. https://t.co/6Uzmg4MC6F— George Conway (@gtconway3d) August 1, 2019

xTrump spent the first minutes of his speech in Jamestown unaware there was a huge insect crawling all over his forehead. It was trying to burrow into his hair & then moved over to the side. I canâÂÂt confirm whether it burrowed in or not. It may have found the environment too toxic pic.twitter.com/WipyTRFU3vâ Tom Joseph (@TomJChicago) July 30, 2019
