As if the red-baiting wasn’t enough, now we have users on this site claiming “both Bernie and Trump are authoritarian populists”.
If you said such an obviously false thing about ANY other Democratic candidate you’d be flagged, timed-out and likely banned so fast, it would leave your head spinning.
If you say it about Bernie, you get 37 users recommending your false, defamatory comment.
A clearer signal that this site is totally out of step with the vast majority of Democrats simply cannot be found. The incomprehensible hate some people here have for Bernie rivals the reactionary hate some right-wingers have for the Clintons.
Meanwhile, out in the real world:
Out of 10 candidates ranked in the poll, Gallup found that Democrats had the most favorable opinion of Sanders, with 72 percent of respondents indicating a favorable view of the senator. Former Vice President Joe Biden, who has been leading every national poll of the 2020 roster, earned the second-highest favorable rating from Democrats, at 69 percent. — www.newsweek.com/...
Then there is the cognitive dissonance. The top ranked diary today applauds Beto for calling out media bias. Meanwhile you have another rec-listed diary lambasting Bernie for the sin of…. wait for it… calling out the media for bias.
You really couldn’t make this shit up if you tried.
Meanwhile, out in the real world, Bernie keeps attracting immense crowds and people are posting heartfelt videos about why they support him.
