I have been reading The Silk Roads for quite a while and I think it is well written and interesting. I am just slow. I am learning a lot. Sometimes I cringe about reading certain non-fiction books and then discover that they are really good.

I hope recommending a work of fiction is alright. The author is a personal friend and this is her first published novel.
All the Water in the World by Karen Raney came out last week. Published by Simon and Schuster Karen’s novel was awarded the 2017 Pat Kavanagh prize (in London, England) while a work in progress.
It is a tale of a mother and daughter told in both voices in blended chapters. It is beautiful story, provocative and evocative.
