The QAnon and Pizzagate crazies like to portray themselves as defenders of children. But they actually have few qualms about falsely accusing people of being pedophiles or covering for pedophiles. Never mind that it results in innocent people being trolled, harassed or worse.
At bottom, what they’re doing is no different from what a bottom-feeder in Norco, California did late last week. He thought he saw the guy who had harassed a girl this past spring, and took it upon himself to beat this supposed scumbag within an inch of his life. One problem—he got the wrong guy.
Kevin Martin says he was just looking to play pool at a local bar in Norco, California, when a man mistook him for a child predator and beat him.
Martin, a 34-year-old private
meteorologist from Corona, California, told CNN that the man approached him at the bar on Thursday and asked if they could speak outside. The man was visibly intoxicated, Martin said.
As the two headed outside, another man followed, took out a phone and showed Martin a police sketch. Martin recognized the sketch, it was of
a suspect from a May incident in which Corona police said a man with thick glasses, long hair and a mustache made sexual comments to an 11-year-old girl.
Martin spent some 20 minutes telling this self-appointed defender of children that he was barking up the wrong tree. The bottom-feeder then decided to let his fists do the talking, and started pummeling Martin. By Martin’s count, he was hit somewhere around 30 times before he told his attacker that he could die.
Incredibly, some 15 people just stood there and didn’t try to intervene. Finally, two good Samaritans rescued him before deputies arrived. The would-be vigilante was arrested, and is due to appear in court on November 6. Hopefully they name and shame him soon.
The more I think about it, there is nada, zip, zero difference between this guy and the likes of Liz Crokin, Mark Taylor, Allen and Francine Fosdick and other QAnon kooks. They don’t care about the damage they do to innocent people—even though they damned well know that their idea of protecting children has nearly gotten people killed.
