Many months after the infamous, out of context Vanity Fair headline-- people still think Beto actually said he was born to run or he was born to be President. And to be fair to these people, most of the media did just hold up the magazine and show the headline without providing the context-- and in many cases encouraging people to draw a wrong conclusion.
Just yesterday I again three times saw the Vanity Fair headline mentioned as if it was a negative. So if you are one of the many people who did not read the actual article or read the context of this quote, here it is:
As you can see, the context is born to be in the fight of our lives. He says “the fight of our lives as Americans and as humans”.
Beto is living these words as he fights for democracy and for the soul of this country. This quote and his actions are worthy of praise and not mockery. And I'd argue that all of us should be born to be in this fight.
If you’re interested in helping Beto’s presidential campaign or just want his voice to continue the fight, calling out hate and Trump, please consider donating. Beto doesn’t accept any PAC money, just individual contributions from real people, so any contribution of any amount is a big deal https://betoorourke.com/
If you would like to volunteer, here’s the link to do so https://act.betoorourke.com/signup/volunteer/?source=web-header-nav you can volunteer to knock doors, make phone calls, data entry, host an event, organize, etc.
Like it or not, there is a political battle for the soul of this country happening.
Let's BRING THE FIGHT to Trump like WE WERE BORN TO BE IN IT!
