Welcome to another edition of Woozle Wednesday, that day of the week when the dogs get to rule while the pooties take a break. Other critters, including kitties, are almost sure to make cameo appearances every week.
Some of the local woozles would like to remind you that it is apple picking time. For some of the woozles, it’s near the end of the season in their neck of the woods. But here in the sunny south our apples are still being harvested. Apples don’t make up a large part of South Carolina produce, but we do have a tiny bit of the Appalachian Mountains clip our extreme northwestern corner where cooler temps mean apple orchards. I am currently enjoying some delicious local Ginger Golds grown fairly close by in the foothills of the Piedmont.
It's perfect weather for apple picking. So the woozles and their friends are inviting everyone to come on down to the orchard and join us. But before we venture up any ladders, we must pause or paws for the Rulz per the Management:
- Do not “Troll” the Pootie Peeps Diaries. If you don’t like animal diaries, there’s no need to tell us about it. Just go find some other diary more to your liking.
- Whatever happens in the outer blog STAYS in the outer blog. This is a place to relax and play; please treat it accordingly.
- If you would like a pic from the comment threads, please ask the poster. He/she may have a copyright to those pics. Many thanks!
- There are some pics we never post: snakes and creepy crawlies (some folks have phobias). Any and all photos that depict or encourage human cruelty toward animals are considered “out of bounds” and will not be tolerated.
- If you’re not sure about an issue...please ask. Someone is always glad to help.
- Community Links are always welcome here.
Health & Safety Notice. Lots of orchards allow friendly dogs, mostly on leash but some even let well-behaved dogs run free. Dogs may take an interest in apples on the ground and these could be a choking hazard, so all pets (especially puppies) should be monitored. It is safe for dogs and cats to eat apples in moderation, if they enjoy fruit. Never let dogs or cats eat the core or seeds as they are poisonous.
Now, on to the orchard!
.
Well, it looks like we picked those trees clean. So the blog is now open.
