In the early 1980s, Rudy Giuliani made his bones hunting down Mafia Dons when he served as US Attorney for the Southern District of New York.
Today, he serves as the consigliore of the world’s top criminal Don, the 45th president of the United States.
However, as the news unfolds, it seems Rudy and his orange “Godfather” both failed to heed the number one rule of La Cosa Nostra: Omertà, the Sicilian code of silence.
CNN has just updated their reporting with this news:
“Giuliani had lunch with Fruman and Parnas at the Trump International Hotel in Washington hours before the two were arrested ….”
Reporters are now wondering if Rudy knew about the imminent arrests of Fruman and Parnas and gave his “clients” a heads-up over lunch before they headed to Vienna on one-way tickets.
It gets even better. Giuliani told Elaina Plott of the New Yorker he was also planning to fly to Vienna in the same 24-hour period:
The Mystery of Rudy Giuliani’s Vienna Trip
President Trump’s personal lawyer told me he was planning to fly to Vienna roughly 24 hours after his business associates were arrested as they prepared to do the same.
OCT 10, 2019
Last night, when Rudy Giuliani told me he couldn’t get together for an interview, his reason made sense: As with many nights of late, he was due to appear on Hannity. When I suggested this evening instead, his response was a bit more curious. We would have to aim for lunch, Giuliani told me, because he was planning to fly to Vienna, Austria, at night. He didn’t offer any details beyond that.
… This morning, Giuliani told me he’d have to reschedule our lunch. I’ve tried to reach him since then, to discuss Parnas’s and Fruman’s arrests, among other things, to no avail. When I called at 3 p.m. ET to ask about his Vienna trip, a woman claiming to be his communications director answered the phone. I have called him more than 100 times over the past year, and this is the first time that has ever happened. She said she’d have to get back to me. As we spoke, I could hear a voice that resembled Giuliani’s shout “asshole” in the background. “Oh, sorry,” the woman told me. “He was talking to the TV.”
Why were Parnas and Fruman bound for Vienna? Why was Giuliani—if what he told me was true—planning to be in the same city a day later?
Giuliani finally sent me a text message at 4:18 p.m. ET: “I can’t comment on it at this time.”
Also from CNN:
News of Giuliani's planned travel to Vienna comes amid escalating scrutiny of the former New York City mayor after a whistleblower complaint released last month labeled him as a central figure in Trump's efforts "to solicit interference" from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in the upcoming 2020 election.
Keep in mind, Fruman and Parnas were charged with "conspiring to make contributions in connection with federal elections in the names of others, and with making false statements to and falsifying records to obstruct the administration of a matter within the jurisdiction of the Federal Election Commission," according to the Department of Justice.
From Newsweek:
In addition to their party donations—which include $325,000 to pro-Trump super PAC America First Action in 2018—both men were allegedly involved in efforts to pressure the Ukrainian government to investigate Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden and his son Hunter.
It gets even weirder, as CNN’s Ryan Lizza tweeted:
Mafia Rave? Fraud Guarantee? Can it get any weirder?
Yes, it can.
On his way to his Minneapolis hate rally yesterday, it seemed the Orange Occupant is positioning himself to throw Rudy under the bus when reporters asked him about Fruman and Parnas:
President Trump distanced himself from two of Rudy Giuliani's associates who were arrested Wednesday, telling reporters Thursday that he didn't know who they were. “I don't know those gentlemen. Now, it's possible I have a picture with them, because I have a picture with everybody,” Trump said, referring to a photograph where he is seen posing with Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman, who were charged with campaign finance violations. “I don't know them, I don't know about them, I don't know what they do... I don't know, maybe they were clients of Rudy. You'd have to ask Rudy. I just don't know.” When asked if he thought Giuliani could be indicted, he responded: “I hope not.” He went on to emphasize that he didn't know how Giuliani knew Parnas and Fruman—who were Giuliani's clients at one point. Investigators are reportedly looking into Giuliani’s financial dealings with the two men as part of the investigation.

Does Rudy realize Vito Corleone Is A Fictional Character?
Over the years, many people have noted that Rudy Giuliani had a love/hate relationship with the Mafia. He put a number of mobsters in prison under RICO laws yet at the same time he’s a big fan of “The Godfather” movie and the TV series, “The Sopranos.”
Rudy is so in love with the fictional character, Vito Corleone, he’s screened the film for guests at his events and arranged to watch The Godfather during a tryst with his lover when cheating on his third wife in 2018.
And let us not forget, when running for the GOP presidential nomination in 2008, Rudy famously imitated The Godfather when on the campaign trail in California:
“Thank youse all very much for invitin’ me here tuh-day, to this meeting of the families from different parts’a California.” www.huffpost.com/...
Considering his fascination with organized crime, it appears Rudy couldn’t resist the gangster life himself. But what Rudy and his Orange Godfather appear to forget, the vast majority of those non-fictional Mafia Dons died in prison.
We shall see.
