What is winning? Is it lying to garner votes? Is it being controlled by big money, PACs, Lobbyists, and corporations? Have you ever built a house or a store from a vacant piece of land? You dig a hole to put in place a foundation, then a week of rain comes and fills that hole, pulls the dirt down on the sides, and it is like a swamp. Do you say you have lost? No, you wait until the rain has gone, clear out the water, strengthen the sides and build that foundation. The stronger the foundation, the more time taken to understand the area and what it will take to keep that foundation strong, the better the investment. Beto has lost nothing, but while others speak shallow promises, he has built the strongest of foundations through the voices of individuals around America. His words are words of Americans, and not big money, or Party wonks, or the Main-Stream-Media.
Each word Beto speaks is power. Power of the people, by the people, and for the people. By Beto's foundational build, he has been on the cusp of many changing ideals within society today. He leads the Democrats to the trough and allows them to drink the water of the people without working to do so. Beto listens to friends, foes, and undecideds. He is listening to everyone. Beto shows compassion to a Dad who lost a child, a child who lost a dad, and a community torn asunder by a President in office currently. Beto inspires people who have never canvassed before to become active in the election process, he inspires the young to sound their voices and gives hope to the millennial silent majority. Beto stands tall against corruption and calls it out when it must be. He gives power to the scared, the timid, the forgotten to speak up and to be heard.
Beto uses his heart and speaks from his heart, which gives credence to each and every word he speaks. He is a family man and understands that it is not easy for the low paid and middle-class American today. Beto hears the horror stories of loss of homes, life, and friends, and a tear comes to his eyes. Beto is everywhere, listening to everyone, standing up for everyone. Beto is not losing my friends, he has built his foundation and is now winning by giving voice to America once again. Beto wins every day by his words that coincide with his deeds, and his power and strength are from the American citizen, not the power-hungry or the swamp of PACS, Lobbyists, and the corporate wealthy.
Should we raise up those that show contempt for the "least of these"? Should I, as a person who believes in rights and equality for all be punished so that buildings of bigots can not pay taxes? Beto in no way is telling you how to perform your religious rituals, but he is saying that if you show bigotry or hatred, you will lose that right to being tax-exempt. To be tax-exempt is asking for a special right from the government, so that argument of separation of Religion and government ends. That actually means that the Government will not mandate 1 religion as Britain had at the time. Let us comprehend history before we scream foul. Freedom of Religion means simply that a person has the right to practice whatever religion one chooses. The first amendment states: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; It does not guarantee free haven from taxation, not practicing bigotry as they further delve into the political spectrum.
We as a society have for centuries have tortured, harmed, and maimed people in the name of Religion and Governmental need. The time has come that this practice must end, and with Beto in the steering wheel, much will be brought to light, and honest discussions about those ramifications to American citizens for a lifetime because of the hatred, bigotry, and abuse. We as a civilized society should never accept torture or mutilation in any form for any reason against our fellow Americans. We must be honest, Conversiontherapy is nothing besides torturing those who believe, love, or think differently. There is no conversion, only hatred. Beto O’Rourke on religious institutions losing tax-exempt status for opposing same-sex marriage: "There can be no reward, no benefit, no tax break for anyone ... that denies the full human rights and the full civil rights of every single one of us". For thousands of years, religion has been used as a cudgel & defense to deny the basic human rights of others. In America, you should be free to believe whatever you want, but not be rewarded with tax relief for violating human rights.
People with so much hate and anger from within find it hard to see there are peaceful alternatives to their violent reactions. Beto inspires people to see that every soul has value and builds upon the success of others. We should never stress the negatives of those who value life in such low esteem as the haters and stand tall with those that believe in the hope for a better tomorrow where all souls live to their fullest potential, bringing inspiration, thoughts, and ideas to the table every day. Beto travels the country talking to those who have been forgotten, have been marginalized, or are in fear of their lives, and finds commonality and a beginning point to something not only feasible but beautiful to see and be a part of. Just imagine a world without hate or violence. Just Imagine a leader who strives to unify and show compassion to all. Just Imagine...
Tell me America, what is the sin in loving a person for who they are not what they are? Do we challenge all by the outward appearance? Do we condemn those who love differently to a life of loneliness to make the few, the bigoted feel better about their control of another human? Does not every person have the right to love, to be happy, and to prosper in God's world? There are references in the Bible to same-gender sexual behavior, and all of them are undeniably negative. But what is condemned in these passages is the violence, idolatry, and exploitation related to the behavior, not the same-gender nature of the behavior. There are references in the Bible to different-gender sexual behavior that are just as condemning for the same reasons. But no one claims that the condemnation is because the behavior was between a man and a woman.
Beto brings compassion, inspiration, and the love to the most tepid of Americans. He shows that love is far more appreciated and needed than hatred and bigotry. If you fall in the world of Discipleship, then you are aware of Jesus' teaching of "Let anyone among you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her."Sin is more than just that of love, but there are many more sins that the average human cannot prevail against because of their weaknesses. Why would we as humans fight against the one inspirational and beautiful ideal as love? When did love become sinful? Beto once again stands tall in support of LGBTQ+ and knows that they have dreams, hopes, aspirations, and gifts to give the same as those who profess heterosexuality. Matthew 22:39 and Mark 12:31 both teach: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' Beto teaches us this every day in his words and his deeds. Do you?
I hate the dodgeball games politicians play. It is such a relief to hear Beto speak, clear, honest and precise. Does no one get exhausted by politicians who lie &/or obfuscate as a means of tricking sad uninformed saps into voting for them? Beto has some bold policies! Though people seem to be iffy on them. Why cower now it’s all about strength! We need to agree 100% with this and we should have the courage of our convictions and fight for what we know is right. People are sick of politicians lying to them or only wanting half measures. I want a president like Beto who will tells us straight and be honest and fight for the right things. Hate is not welcome here. From anyone. Let's all have the courage to stand up to hate in any form, be it from our president, a church, or anyone else. BetoVsTrump The battle is on. Are you looking to be inspired, or filled with more hateful rhetoric? I pick Inspirational Beto to lead us forward. What do you say America? This is why Beto is running. He is compassionate & leads with conviction. He refuses to wait for politics to catch up because he knows courage makes victory possible. Victory isn’t a number. It’s empowering and fighting to make the world better. So why Beto? Why the hell not?
When our children and grandchildren look back at this moment in history, I want them to be able to say with confidence that we did everything we could to stop this current madness. Beto O’Rourke is the only real choice for the next President of the United States.
