A Stellar Week for Roundups!
Rashida Tlaib and 2thanks’s Indivisible Group
Rashida will potluck with my local Indivisible group on a Sunday in November.
Historic footnote/tidbit: Rashida told one of the leaders of our group that our meeting with her before she decided to run for office was instrumental in helping her make the decision to run! Yay us, The Humble Northwest Detroiters for Social Justice! I'm glad we showed up! Never believe one person cannot make an impact. If you ever get a chance to hang out with Rashida, do. She is hilarious.
Although Rashida will be the incumbent, her election in 2020 will not be easy.... All help gratefully appreciated!
When the orange slime mold oozes in the direction of Rashida Tlaib, we don’t get mad, we get even donating: Please support Rashida via our Daily Kos ActBlue page. We’ve raised $115 so far toward our goal of $500. If you donated — Thank you!
“Saturn's become the planet with the most moons in the solar system. Researchers in America found 20 new moons orbiting the planet, which means it has 82, while Jupiter only has 79! They were found using the Subaru telescope on Maunakea in Hawaii. If that wasn't cool enough, people are being given the chance to name them as part of a competition on social media.”

How to Resist: Do Something
The Five R’s of the Resistance
- Resist: Protest on the streets, call senators and representatives, etc.
- Rebel: Run for office, GOTV (Get Out The Vote), support a progressive.
- Revolt: Change the laws, change the culture, build your communities.
- Rely: Trust that millions of others are fighting the good fight.
- Rest: Take care of yourself, we are in this for the long term.
Say Something
We welcome comments in all Roundups regarding:
- National or local Good News.
- Links, stories, music, videos, quotes, tweets. (No tweets of the saffron chlamidiot, please.)
- Your resistance activity.
- Highlights from The Rachel Maddow Show.
In my Sunday smorgasbord Roundups, I especially welcome the following types of comments:
- Who won YOUR week?
- Questions about Daily Kos tech issues or our map.
- Good News Roundups and you.
Thank you for fighting for truth and justice with all us Gnusies! Although 40% of our Readers don’t visit every day, that’s okay, we all do what we can. For more than 2 years, we’ve shared positive news, laughed, organized, resisted, rebelled, revolted without being revolting, relied, rested, mentored, created, crossed rivers, chewed our cud, puffed methane out both ends, and laughed. Here’s looking at you, kid, and standing upwind!
As always, please share more Good News than I can find or provide.
In case you haven’t figured it out yet, this is a group diary.
Power with, not power over ❤️ ✊ ❤️
2thanks
Update: Added Rashida! to the title.
