Amy seems very relaxed of late. Her appearances on the shows have been both confident and loose. That carried over into last nights debate. She seems to be able to show a bit more of a range of emotions, that helps.
This will be very short as these things go because her case as presented is pretty clear. The maps from her first statewide run says it all. Pick me and the Senate is seriously in sight.
A picture is worth … and that one is the true rational. I could go on about how she has structured her policy to be near term and achievable holding out the hope of less decisive politics. But the real thing is that there is not a candidate in a Red or Purple state or district that would not be comfortable with her at the top of the ticket and run with not against her.
Yes, a calm, smart, not over intellectual, Minnesota Nice, woman is absolutely the contrast to the bluster and madness of Trump. But there isn’t a Statehouse, county candidate the wouldn’t be relieved to have her leading the ticket.
It is really that simple.
There is really not another candidate that can offer that as well as Amy. Not Biden, not Buttigieg, not anybody. I know people here will argue that she doesn’t excite the Base. As if as the summer goes on Trump wont give ample reasons for the Base to crawl across broken glass. What Amy offers more then any other candidate is a Party power play in a census year. Perhaps securing the Suburbs for a generation and making inroads into Rural America.
