Welcome to bookchat where you can talk about anything...books, plays, essays, and audio books. You don’t have to be reading a book to come in, sit down, and chat with us.
...
Who would have guessed so many years of fun could be had. It is that time of year 13 years ago that I started Bookflurries-Bookchat. Most people here know that I looked out the window on an October night in Michigan and saw snow flurries which were early even for us. I wanted to talk with those who love and read books and thus it all began.
...
My main goals for Bookflurries-Bookchat:
Open the door on Wednesday evenings so people can talk about books and related things
Provide a theme in case people need something to spur a conversation
Promote our writers and their books
Promote old books and new
To get people to talk with each other instead of just dropping a comment and leaving
To learn new things
To build up my wish list
To enjoy meeting all kinds of people with all kinds of interests
...
I would like to thank all those who stop by and comment or who rec or who lurk. It is much appreciated and I hope lurkers will join us. Everyone is very welcome.

I still have some books to give away free. Some I didn’t like much, but others may like them, and some I liked, but I just can’t keep them. Let me know in comments which ones you would like, more than one is fine, and then send me a Kos mail with your name and address.
