Welcome to this lovely Monday morning, its election week, and I’m looking forward to voting on Tuesday, It will be a nice warm up for next year when we finally get rid of Trump (Fingers crossed).
President Donald Trump was booed while attending Ultimate Fighting Championship 244 at Madison Square Garden on Saturday night.
It was the second time in a week that Trump had received boos at a public event, after receiving chants of “Lock Him Up” when he attended the World Series.
The internet ridiculed Trump for the harsh public reception.
Here’s some of what people were saying about Trump, who is currently facing an impeachment inquiry:
Having a bad time Donny? Maybe you shouldn’t have run for President you loser.
House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) blasted the House's impeachment inquiry process Sunday, arguing that removing President Trump would represent an undoing of the 2016 presidential election, even as CBS' Margaret Brennan reminded him that Vice President Pence would in that case become president.
And in our “Broken clock is twice a day” department, we have this moron. Now I know he’s saying this to try and rally the GOP to Trumps defense, but here’s the thing? Its saying this kind of thing that gets me revved up for some impeaching. BRING ON THE PEACH. BRING ON THE PEACH. Say it with me now BRING ON THE PEACH. BRING ON THE PEACH. I want to hear a hearty BRING ON THE PEACH from everyone in the comments section. Can you do that for me? BRING ON THE PEACH.
Following 100 hours of closed-door testimony from 13 witnesses, the House impeachment probe is set to enter its public phase. Rep. Dina Titus (D-NV), who has sat in on several of those hearings, joins Alex Witt to discuss her biggest takeaways from those depositions.
*Pulls out Popcorn* Bring on the PEAAAAAACH.
The chorus of Bronx cheers from New York officials at the news that President Trump changed his primary residence to Florida was confirmation of what friends and advisers have said for months: Resuming his former life in Manhattan would be impossible.
And then there is this nugget of good news. Donny two scoops is never coming back to New York. And nothing of value was lost. Now tear down that eyesore of a tower and build some low income housing over it.
Former Republican National Committee (RNC) chair Michael Steele slammed conservatives who have warned of a "civil war" if President Donald Trump were to be impeached and removed from office.
At the end of September, Pastor Robert Jeffress threatened on Fox News that if Congress were to successfully remove Trump from office: "It will cause a Civil War like fracture in this nation from which our country will never heal." Trump tweeted the quote at the time, drawing criticism from numerous pundits, Democrats and even some leading Republicans. But other conservative commentators and politicians have made similar remarks in the intervening weeks.
"I don't know what the hell is wrong with these people," Steele said Saturday on MSNBC. "I think we just need to be straight up about it and just call them out...This is something they want. This is something they are perpetuating through their language and tweets."
Oh to have the bravery and strength of character of a retired Republican. A person say what they really think about Trump and the GOP, because they know their careers are already over and it wont actually hurt them to say it. Its a shame they don’t get that level of integrity until AFTER they move out of politics.
Welp, that’s it for this week. Gotta say it was real easy finding the good news this week. Always a pleasure. As always, check out the Good news Spotify list, and have a wonderful week. Also: BRING ON THE PEACH!
