Happy December everyone! I hope you had a good Thanksgiving (I know I did) and now you’re gearing up for the holiday season. But of course the best Christmas gift of them all is watching our commander in cheat twist in the wind over Impeachment. So lets get on with the news.
The latest polls show that the majority of Americans disapprove of President Trump amid the ongoing impeachment inquiry into his dealings with Ukraine.
A Reuters/Ipsos poll released on Nov. 27 showed that 54% of Americans disapprove of Trump's job performance, while 43% approve. An Economist/YouGov poll conducted Nov. 24-26 shows that 53% of Americans disapprove of Trump, with 44% approving his job performance.
Trump, however, has slightly improved from some previous polls in November by Reuters/Ipsos and Economist/YouGov. Reuters/Ipsos had Trump with a 56% disapproval and 41% disapproval in a poll released Nov. 20. An Economist/YouGov poll from Nov. 17-19 had Trump with a 54% disapproval and 44% approval.
After several weeks of combative public impeachment hearings, the week of Thanksgiving has been a more quiet affair for the administration. President Trump made a trip to Afghanistan to visit the troops, as Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee are charging ahead with the impeachment inquiry, setting a hearing on Dec. 4.
Well no news here, people still hate Donny’s guts and want to see him gone. Lets make it happen together people!
He also gave Trump a deadline of next Friday to inform the committee if he plans to present a defense in the next round of impeachment hearings.
Again, not much news here, we all know he’s guilty as sin. I doubt the GOP will care but lets get them on record as saying so, lets see if they are that stupid.
Far-right white nationalists rallying around 21-year-old YouTube personality Nicholas Fuentes are causing an uncomfortably visible rift in President Trump’s conservative base.
In the past several weeks, some of these young conservatives calling themselves “Groypers” have disrupted events such as a public appearance by Republican Rep. Dan Crenshaw of Texas and a book signing at UCLA by Donald Trump Jr. and his girlfriend, Kimberly Guilfoyle. They heckled the president’s son off the stage.
So apparently even the hyper toxic band of jackasses that is the alt right (Which I guess found an even dumber name for themselves than the Alt right) are sick of Donny now, and are messing with him. This seems like good news for us come 2020. The more they fight among themselves the better our chances.
A former Republican congressman said he would “probably vote to impeach” Donald Trump if he were still serving in the US House of Representatives while suggesting the president's scandals are “infuriating" current GOP House members.
Charlie Dent, a frequent critic of Mr Trump who resigned from Congress last year, said he has heard from several of his former Republican colleagues who are “absolutely disgusted and exhausted by the president’s behaviour”.
“There’s no question, having spoken to many of them privately, they’re absolutely disgusted and exhausted by the president’s behaviour,” Mr Dent said in an interview with CNN on Thursday. “They resent being put in this position all the time.”
Oh those poor babies! How dreadful for them. If only there was some way they didn’t have to deal with him anymore. Like, I don’t know, IMPEACH HIM YOU HATEFUL MORONS. You know, even if the GOP never vote to impeach him, they are still stuck with him, so there’s really no winning for the GOP here. Either they impeach him and their base turns on them, or they let him walk and we bury them in 2020. There’s no through road here.
Fox News host Steve Hilton expressed his exasperation with Rudy Giuliani in Ukraine, saying President Donald Trump would be better off without him.
“It turns out that the former mayor’s own personal business interests are wrapped up in all of this. To put it simply he’s been trying to enrich himself on the back of his relationship with President Trump,” Hilton said Sunday on The Next Revolution.
One more from the “GOP circular firing squad” department. Apparently everyone is getting ready to turn ol Rudy Rudy fresh and fruity eat your beans and you’ll go tootie (Wow, went for a ride on that one) into the next speedbump under the big ol Trump bus. I mean all the signs are there for a classic Trump email firing. I’m on the edge of my beanbag chair.
That does it for this week. Sorry there wasn’t a more vibrant selection of stories, but its pretty slow at the moment. Trump has been keeping rather conspicuous radio silence the last few days. But one way or another we’ll get him. Please check out the GNR Spotify list and have a great week.
