Never did a diary before (and this will be a poor one since very little info is available as yet), but I didn’t see another diary so here we go. Forgive any virgin diarist mistakes. I’m much more successful at lurking.
Eight men, including Nader, have been indicted on a total of 53 charges related to campaign finance violations. Most of these charges appear related to the use of straw donors to funnel at least $3.5 million into both Republican and Democratic campaigns. He’s alleged to have done most of this work on behalf of the Emirates, though he’s previously worked on behalf of the Saudis.
Between these indictments, Roger Stone, Michael Cohen, Paul Manafort, Michael Flynn, and others, the Justice Department has been on fire over the last few years. Perhaps Trump should stop trashing the men and women of the JD and starting groveling instead. I’d pay good money to see that.
