Dear Anti-Abortion Zealot,
Please tell me about your personal experience with being pregnant through rape or incest. Tell me how you have dealt with coming from an abusive home, marrying too early and ignorant of life…and becoming pregnant with no chance of you or the prospective baby having a way to escape poverty and abuse.
You presume to speak for the “unborn”. You seem to think you have the ability to speak for Almighty God as well, who aborts 20% plus fetal tissue in the first trimester and probably much more, since many women don’t even know they’re pregnant when it happens. Why would God do this? Perhaps because we’re talking about “life”, not “soul”, and you seem to be confused that these terms mean the same thing. There is “life” in trees, all manner of plants, and even rocks and minerals. Yet we are constantly destroying the life in all of these things in order to exist on earth.
This Almighty God knows us all as souls in the heaven world that you say you believe exists. It is my belief that the soul enters the body fully at first breath. There is agreement in most scriptures about this.
This leaves us back to the pro-choice position. Jesus makes no references to abortion. It is my opinion that each woman must decide this issue for herself. Your position, to make it illegal to have abortions, will return women to the days of illegal abortion, a dangerous back alley horror show. Do you actually believe that abortions will no longer be performed? Or are you just happy to play the victim and collect lots of donations?
Mr. Zealot, in your “pro-life” world, you must also deplore the killing of 100,000 Iraqi citizens since the U.S. military invaded that country. Most of these people had nothing to do with violence, and include women and children, and yes, the “unborn.” You must be against war in general, as that involves the murder of innocents each and every time.
You must also be against the death penalty, and claiming you only decry taking “innocent life” rings totally hollow with the tenets of love and forgiveness which are the basis of the scripture you claim to believe in.
You excuse every kind of evil perpetrated by our current White House occupant because he is appointing people of your like mind to the courts, and you hope they will outlaw abortion. He’s also in your world a modern day “King Cyrus”, which is a delusional fantasy you’ve embraced to justify his corruption and cruelty.
It’s pretty obvious that you do not carry your embrace of “life” unless it suits you and your vanity anti-abortion opinions.
Mr.&Ms and/or Rev. Zealot, I see you resemble the people described in Matthew 15:8-9:
These people honor Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me. They worship Me in vain; they teach as doctrine the precepts of men.”
Yours truly,
Person who believes we should only call ourselves Christians if we do the things He says
