So many people are looking toward a moderate candidate (Joe Biden), because of the fear that if we pick someone too far to the left, they won’t be able to beat Trump. That just is not true. As Michael Moore has said; “we need to put someone on the ballot that excites people”. I think that is exactly right. If we select a moderate, there is a good chance that people on the far left will stay home. Someone on the far left will bring out all of those people and also all of the moderates. It will give us the biggest bang for the buck. The Republican Party is not serving all of the people. The same has been true to a similar extent with the Democratic Party. The people that wanted change saw Hillary as an elite candidate that would insure just more of the same. Republican’s have distorted their policies (especially under Trump) to the extent that corporations are running our country. Democrats are also guilty of that as well. Big Corporations have the money, the motives and the will to determine who gets elected. They have the money to elect the candidate that serves their best interests. While many people praise the stock market's rise, the little guy is left behind. The reason so many people voted for Trump is, because those that felt left behind believed he would look after them. He has not. It is obvious that Trump equates his success with a stock market that is going up, but what about the little guy that isn't in the market and cannot afford an IRA, because he can barely pay his bills. Where is the relief for him? The Trump tax cuts took care of the rich, but nothing for the lower middle class and lower class. While the jobs picture may look good, the real question is where are the jobs (can you afford to live on what they pay in the location that they exist?). What do they pay and do you need two jobs to survive?. So no, our government was designed to be for "all" the people, not just the top 40%. The only answer to all of this is Bernie Sanders. His policies will bring back our government to the people where it belongs. Bernie Sanders would have beat Trump in 2016, but we have a 2nd chance in 2020. He really is our only hope for keeping a democracy.
