As Trump and McConnell hang a blackout curtain between the truth and the impeachment trial in the Senate, House Democrats can keep things lit by continuing to augment the Articles that have already been sent to the Senate and by developing new Articles for even more Senate impeachment trials before the presidential election in eleven months.
House Democrats can ignore any complaints that such actions would be too close and too affecting of the November 2020 presidential election, as Trump, McConnell, and the Republicans have brought this inconvenient timetable on themselves by refusing to allow any White House witnesses or documents in the original House investigation. As new information comes out, such as FOIA releases or by witnesses such Parnas, work can be done to vet the information and develop new Articles of Impeachment.
If the Senate does in fact allow witnesses in the trial next week, perhaps this further development of Articles may not be needed. If the Senate trial concludes without witnesses or with Trump's acquittal, the darkness of Trump must not be allowed to rule the country. It's the House Democrats’ job for as long as they hold the House to make sure light and transparency prevail. Keep on impeaching him until he's gone. It's the one thing Democrats can do.
