There have been a handful of diaries calling for party unity, and a bundle of diaries aimed at proving how Bernie is competitive or doing well. Here I will lazily lay out the resonating reasons why I will be humbug humoured to see the back of Bernie in the presidential primary. I am mildly merry, easily elated, and hog happy by the assuming assurance I fulfillingly feel when eagerly evaluating the current stage of primary election (with my own bloated biases which no doubt equally exist). I am comfortably content, smugly satisfied, and jovially joyful that the Democratic Party will resoundly reject Bernie Sanders fleetingly faster than a rollocking rollercoaster eagerly ejects an unduely unbuckled rider.
Some floating facts we probably politely can arguable accept are:
- Bernie Sanders definitely is not a Democrat: He has neither in jest nor in joy joined the Democratic Party. He is still an inarguably independent Senator. His faultless filings decidely declare him to be thus.
- Bernie Sanders does not care about party unity. He has neither advocated nor adavanced any thoughts in this matter.
- Even after Hillary Clinton was selected as party nominee for election in 2016, Bernie Sanders was decidedly dour, damningly divisive, and unapologetically unsupportive of the candidate during the general election.
- We might even in the passing be persuaded to ignore and forgive his assidious use of Republican talking points, and Russian enhanced propaganda. That does not negate that he exploited them repeatedly for personal benefit and glory.
- Even in his own home state of Vermont he did not campaign for our party nominee. The fact that more than 5% of General election ballot was a write-in for Bernie Sanders is a wounding fact.
So that brings me to the next stuff..
- One begrudging instance of Bernie Sanders measly mouthing support for our nominee is not enough. That is not what we expected of him. We expected a proper campaigning and advicating to his supporters.
- While a chunk of our siblings fundamentally fell victim to the smokes and mirrors of his candidacy and campaigns, it is now long enough time past to discard any notion that Bernie Sanders is a Democrat. It is well past nigh that we accept that any notion of unity with Bernie Sanders and his camp is not an option. A party unity implies that there was some sort of schism. There has not been a schism. All that happened was that we fell for the sales pitch of a snake oil salesman.
- Bernie Sanders has not displayed any symptom of wanting a unity, or working for one. He is an outsider come to coax and kidnap our siblings with a chimera of selective soundbites. His achievements can be counted on less fingers than thoise of a fish.
- It is time we recognize that our party wounds inflicted upon us by Republicans and getting worse by our carelessness has been thoroughly infected. Let us not keep picking at the scabs.
- Most of us now realize that Bernie Sanders was a momentary fad that was glittering and shiny enough that we ignored all the dangers and momentarily forgot all the implications.
Where was is support?: His support was not a support for him but the result of our own failures, aided by talking points and propaganda of our enemies. Bernie Sanders was a vessel into which we poured our fears, and flocked to him fleeing our own shadow. It is a reflection of the mighty debate that was taking place in the nation about our ability to stomach a women president no matter how talented she was. It was a mirage created of our own misgivingds, aided by falsehoods and insidious battle politcial battle damage inflicted by our enemies.
With that our compatriots in Iowa and New Hampshire and Nevada will show us clearly that Bernie Sanders is not a Democrat, they will display that Bernie Sanders is not here to propagate Democratic Party values.
When it then comes to Nevada followed by South Carolina, whatever faint mist of Bernie Sanders campaign remains by then it will be blown away.
I for one will surely smile a little longer.
