If you have 8 minutes, Robert Reich has some thoughts on Iowa. They are well worth your time to hear.

Okay — did you watch?
The Facebook video at the link puts things into perspective. Reich looks at questions that are being raised about the caucuses and responds. Among other things, Iowa results aren’t that important. (Neither is New Hampshire.)
As the Hitchhiker’s Guide reminds us, Don’t Panic.
As Reich says, Democracy is not a race. It used to take time before election results were available. What matters is if the results can be trusted when they finally are available. Reich reminds us that this isn’t the first time Iowa results have taken time to be resolved — and that time it was the GOP side that was affected. It took them weeks.
The media is part of the problem: they want instant results so they can report their spin on them and push whatever horse-race narrative they think is what their audience (and owners) want to hear. In their rush to fill air time, the story will all be about the mess, because they have to have something to talk about. (And they’re not the only ones, to be ‘fair and balanced’ about it.)
Reich reminds us the important thing is getting Donald Trump out of the White House. Stay focused, keep working and let’s do that, okay?
If we want a smooth process with no glitches, Vladimir Putin has shown how to do that. And Trump and the GOP would do that too if they could. it’s certainly their goal. That should be a counter-narrative to GOP talking points. They are stifling dissent, canceling primaries, and rigging everything they can.
Would you rather have a messy democracy, or a ‘perfect’ dictatorship?
Eyes on the prize: flush the turd on November third, as the meme says.
