Hey everyone, its that time again. Time for the Monday Good News Roundup, where we round up the usual suspects and give them a right good dressing down. Join me wont you, on a journey through the Bing news feed as I search for five news stories worthy of gracing the Good News Roundup. Its not always an easy ride, but its one I take for you.
So without further ado, lets get the train going.
A federal appeals court on Friday struck down the Trump administration’s decision to allow states to compel some Medicaid recipients to work or prepare for a job in exchange for their health benefits.
Once again Trump fights the courts and the courts win. Barr might be trying to cover Trumps nonsense but the federal court isn’t having any of it.
Trump family angst against Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) escalated further on Friday after Donald Trump, Jr. appeared to unfollow the 2012 GOP standard-bearer.
The Twitter account Trump’s Alert, which tracks such things, flagged on Friday that the president’s eldest son appears to no longer follow the Utah Republican.
As neither account had been suspended, either Trump, Jr. unfollowed Romney or Romney blocked Trump, Jr.
Here’s some of what people were saying about the development:
Junior, give it up, you’re never getting in the will, You notice how he gave Kushner and Ivanka White House access and left Jr, out in the cold. He’s never gonna love you Jr. Give it up.
President Donald Trump is deeply invested in the idea that there is a "Deep State" embedded within the government bureaucracy -- and centered in the Department of Justice -- which actively worked to defeat him in 2016 and then sought to undermine him once he won the presidency.
That conspiracy theory, which has never had much merit, suffered a near-fatal blow Friday afternoon when the Department of Justice declined to pursue criminal charges against former FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe. (McCabe is a CNN contributor.)
Ah yes the McCabe thing. Yeah no doubt the biggest loser last week was Barr, who is now between a rock and a hard place as he is trying to both please Donny and prevent a full revolt by the DoJ. How long can he hold on? Place your bets now.
More than 1,100 former Department of Justice (DOJ) officials are calling for Attorney General William Barr to resign in the wake of the DOJ's decision to ask for a shorter prison sentence for Roger Stone, a longtime ally and friend of President Trump.
Oh hey speaking of Barr, like I said, he’s having a bad week. And its only going to get worse as Trump uses him to shield himself from trouble. Enjoy absorbing all that bullshit Barr, hope you never have any sort of career after this ever.
On what must be a slow news day for President Donald Trump, he took to Twitter on Sunday morning to attack the press for reporting that a portion of his wall on the southern border toppled over two weeks ago — and then blamed the collapse on “soaking wet” concrete and high winds.
I mean, I don’t even know what to add here. This pretty much says it all doesn’t it? What a moron.
Anyways at this point i must tap out and bid adieu until next week. Have a good Monday, and take care of yourselves.
