Is it safe to order food for takeout or delivery? Most of the sources I have read indicate that it is safe to takeout or delivery. If there are any sources to the contrary, I’d be interested to see them. Does anyone have any more information to share on the safety of takeout food? I think you can still order; just have the delivery person leave the food at the door and go. That’s the protocol now. Don’t exchange paper money, don’t have any physical contact. This is one reason it’s good to order online and have everything paid by credit card or otherwise electronically.

I’m not expert, but I do wonder if it might be safer to ask the pizza place not to cut your pizza. It seems it would reduce handling of your food.
