Coronavirus is hitting communities hard, not just through the disease itself (the full force of which has yet to hit) but economically, with 18% of workers saying they’ve lost jobs or are working fewer hours. Social distancing and widespread closures also create other significant burdens for many people—often ones who are already vulnerable. The need is great.
Daily Kos is launching a fundraising effort for organizations that support public health and people struggling with the broader societal effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. We’re asking you to help us make sure people are fed and that critical needs are met across the United States, including the vulnerable communities most in need and most often overlooked.
Can you chip in $3 to organizations doing important work to get the U.S. through the coronavirus crisis?
