I know from my time here that the site spans the spectrum from those of us that are not at all religious, atheistic, agnostic, and deeply religious.
I know, also, that the vast majority of us are stuck at home… so I have tried to write diaries that either entertain and/or stimulate discussion.
So I came up with this topic…. with the use of a handy dandy 10 point scale in which 0 means not at all/atheist/etc to 10 means which means plays a major role, the question is… how much of a role does religion play in your life?
For me it would be a 7. Along with many other things, for example health issues, politics, friendships, financial hardships… all of which play a role in how my life is led, the role of religion plays a stronger than average role in my life.
I rely on Judaism to find comfort from and also as a learning tool. Although I am not an Orthodox Jew, and I was raised Reform… one of the largest regrets in my life was that, during my formative years, I was not more religious than I was.
So… how much/not at all, does religion play a role in your life?
