Candy is Dandy
I have never been that big on candy or sweets. Peanut butter and jelly is about the usual sweetness quotient for the day. But during this quarantine I’ve been craving sugar more and more. We had a box of toffee from Laura's Fine Candies and we rapidly demolished it. I figured what the hell so I ordered two 2# boxes which I received yesterday. This stuff is so good it actually should be banned. Who knows how long it will last this time? Now this is a small company so if everyone orders some I might not be able to get it next time so please be moderate.
I’ve spoken with neighbors (at a distance, of course) and nearly all of them are having similar cravings, and concerns are universally dismissed by “what the hell.” So I’m wondering how y’all are doing with this, or any other unnatural cravings.
This will be a short diary because I had to spend time dealing with a dead battery and a few other things, so I hope to be forgiven. Just so you know there will always be enough chocolate:
And some other good advice to follow:
Kitchen Table Kibitzing is a community series for those who wish to share a virtual kitchen table with other readers of Daily Kos who aren’t throwing pies at one another. Drop by to talk about music, your weather, your garden, or what you cooked for supper…. Newcomers may notice that many who post in this series already know one another to some degree, but we welcome guests at our kitchen table and hope to make some new friends as well.
Please do not attack Democratic candidates or drag primary fights into our community. |
