An update on the ongoing spat between Steve Schmidt and the President of the United States. Obviously, no love lost here…
Okay, yeah... Schmidt was John McCain’s campaign manager. And, Trump is still simmering in a gumbo of bile for McCain’s deciding thumbs-down vote that quashed Republicans’ attempt to repeal the ACA. Infinitely classy Trump has even taken posthumous pot shots at the late AZ Senator and former prisoner of war. The Bone-spur Sufferer a l’orange spares no respect for suckers who get captured. He prefers combat heroes who receive their discharge on schedule, without suffering all that messy torture.
Anyway, poor, put-upon Baby Donald took McCain’s final act of courage hard!
Since then, Schmidt has disowned the Republican Party, joining with John Weaver, Rick Wilson, and Bill Kristol in the Lincoln Project — the team of renegade ex-pachyderms that has been producing the most aggressive and effective anti-Trump ads to date! Leave it to a posse of veteran GOP political mercenaries to plunge the dagger in precisely where it will do the most damage and keep twistin’! (Paying attention, Dems? When those ReTrumplicans go low, forget the high road! The only thing scumbag bullies like Thinskin McTrump understand is a swift, accurate kick in the balls!)
And, speaking of pinpoint-perfect crotch kicking... Today, Schmidt made the most of his segment on MSNBC’s The Beat with Ari Melber…
“It is the ineptitude of Donald Trump, full stop,”
Schmidt said, “that is responsible for this crisis.”
Schmidt was not just referring to the 80,000 fatalities this nation has suffered as of today’s mounting death toll. He also summed up the depression-level unemployment and spiraling economy in four words:
“It’s an epic disaster!”
When Melber asked about ex-Prez Barack Obama’s leaked criticism of Trump’s handling of the COVID-19 crisis, Schmidt remarked, “If anything, Obama was being too kind. Trump promised to Make America Great Again. Instead, we are weak and pitiful. We look like a basket case to the rest of the world.”
Schmidt proceeded to call Pence, Kushner, Mnuchin, Perdue, DeVos, et al “a Confederacy of dunces” who just keep feeding the American people, “delusional, B.S. happy talk.”
As far as POTUS is concerned, Schmidt declared,
“His legacy will be mass suffering and death.”
What do you really think, Steve? Come on, now… don’t hold back!
