Please read this article (unfortunately, it’s behind a pay wall). It’s written by a GOP operative who says that the results in CA-25 last week prove that voting by mail helps Republicans, not Democrats.

This makes sense to me. Young people and poor people don’t do mail. Who does? Old people. That’s not our constituency.
Here’s my personal experience. I live in Ohio. The primary this year is the first election in many years that I did not vote in. Before I figured out how the process worked, it was too late. You have to submit in writing a request just to get the APPLICATION to receive the ballot. I have a gut feeling that young and minority voters will not want to deal with this.
To be clear, I am not opposed at all to VBM as an option. I just feel that if it’s the ONLY option, we will lose. Voting at your local precinct on election day must always be an option.
