Welcome to Street Prophets Thursday Coffee Hour cleverly locate a the intersection of religion and politics. This is an open topic thread so help yourself to the goodies and sit a spell and let us know what is new with you. My cat Pixie is very vocal. We have conversations. Cats meow for lots of reasons. Pixie has a special meow for "I'm hungry and I want my dinner now!" She really hates it when I tell her it is not dinnertime. She also keeps up a steady complaint when I'm trying to wash out her dish to get the old food out of it.
Pixie does not like being left which is why she runs to the door when I come back and lets me know that I was gone forever because she counted.
Sometimes she just wants to talk and we take turns "talking" to each other. She is very good at getting up at night if Reid calls my name. 99.9% of the time now when he calls he is asleep and talking in his sleep and doesn't need anything. This will lead to Pixie flipping her tail as we come back to bed and letting me know that he woke her up for nothing.
Reid will talk to Pixie sometimes. We joke that it is hard to know what she wants because of her accent.
I have always had cats and each one has been different. Pixie is one of the most vocal of my cats. Sasha was also a real talker. How about your pets? Do you talk to them and do they answer you back?
