I was watching the FBI press briefing. A line of white people (no offense, I am one) stand up to the cameras in Minneapolis and the FBI said there was going to be “No rush to judgement” pointing out other times when police were believed to have erred and were found innocent. Like that was anything to be proud of. I’m angry. That phrase keeps repeating in my mind. “No rush to judgement”. There are videos from a person who recorded the murder; surveillance video that showed George Floyd did not resist the cops (I use that term these days). But for sure let us not rush to judgement. A cop has killed a man in broad daylight with witnesses. What do the cops have on their side? Nothing. They have released a very heavily redacted bodycam video that showed nothing really as the man wasn’t facing the right way. Where are the bodycam videos of the people right there? What, they haven’t finished faking them to show who knows what.
People were there; there is video evidence of what this racist monster did. But surely we must not rush to judgement. F*ck that.
