It’s a death trap. What more can I say? Just a death trap!
It’s too small. I was looking up how long these Fiats last and they can last for like, 150k to 200k miles. So that’s good to know. I didn’t look up how long drivers of Fiats last…
It does seem to be that the reason there are so many 2012 to 2016 used Fiats with low miles for sale, is that they are just so damn small. Too small, as I say. I read something that said for a 2nd car, a zip around the town car, these were nice, but since they are too small to carry even your hamster to the vet let alone your 14 year old, 60lb black lab, they don’t work well if they are your primary vehicle.
Well, I only have one car right now so this could be a problem. I haven’t decided to keep the car yet though. I had 7 days to return it after I first picked it up and on the 2nd day I noticed a smell that grew and grew.
I took it to my mechanic who gave it the once over and he said the car was sound and the smell wasn’t mechanical. Driving on the highway in the rain the smell was so bad I went to roll the windows down. In my old car I would roll the back windows down to get some air without getting wet.
I could not find the controls for the back windows anywhere. I finally turned around and realized I don’t have back windows in my 2 door car. Duh. Small. Scary small. So small that when you turn the lights to bright, you can hear the mechanics of the switch.
There is something I have done in all of my cars when they make a noise that scares me and that’s... turn up the stereo. This car has a kick butt Bose stereo system so if they can get rid of the smell, I’m keeping it, death trap or not.
