I’m a firm believer in wearing a mask, to protect others from me and (to a lesser extent) me from others. However I wear glasses and find them getting misted up when I put on a mask, very inconvenient.
Just now I got some swimmer’s nose clips and tried them out as shown in the selfie below. Works remarkably well in preventing misting, and not too uncomfortable for a trial lasting 90 minutes. There are two ways it appears to be working … reducing inhalation and exhalation through the nose, and flattening out the mask so that it conforms more closely to the nose and cheeks.
The brand of nose clip I got was Wode Shop, 8 pieces for $5.99. Am not at all sure this is really the best, but got 4.4 out of 5 stars rated by 59 people. I find that the legs can be bent apart and that this makes it pinch less while at the same time keeping moist breath from seeping up under my glasses and fogging them. Wore it for 90 minutes this afternoon without significant discomfort while walking in a local park, where only about half the visitors were masked, which is a total travesty.
