Before I was even born — I grew up in war. My dad was a fighter pilot in the 324th fighter group. Mom was in the 81st hospital trains. Combat ribbons Rhineland and Central Europe Campaigns both of them. ALL of my brothers went to Viet Nam and my kid did three tours in Iraq. My oldest brother came home in a box in 1969 — as my next oldest brother was shipping out that year.
My family has killed a hell of a lot of people. We are real good at war. My “uncles” were mostly out of the 324th and the 356th — 12th TAC pilots. Many of them died. Mom’s family were mostly killed in concentration camps. Mom’s brothers were generally tortured to death in Yugoslavia.
I am trying to tell you — war is a family business with us. It goes even deeper than this. Much deeper. We look after american kids — all the time. Killed to protect them. In gruesome ways you cannot imagine. I am not a pacifist when necessary.
This is where we are right now — on a precipice — can go either way. It is the war of OUR generation. And this is a war we face here. Hopefully with words and thoughts.
Only god knows how this turns out in the end — the only thing we can do is try our best.
Any attack against Joe or our PACs or Lincoln Project or our other friends — they are an attack against all of us — and we have to respond in kind,
Do you understand — we all live together or perish together — NOW.
And if we go down — I am taking hell with me. Just as my family did.
NOBODY fucks with another american — white black purple or blue. It only matters if you are american — and that is all that matters.
We are in the fight of our lives here. And it is about to get real.
How strange is the 21st century variant of conflict. Clausewitz could have never imagined this variant. War by computers — very strange.
Let’s kick some ass.
