It was a dark and stormy night, as the protesters in Lafayette Square gathered and huddled in spite of the relentless rain, thunder and lightning. Memories of the night before reverberated in the square where army, police, national guard and unmarked soldiers assaulted peaceful protesters with tear gas and rubber bullets so that trump could get a photo-up in front of St. John's Episcopal Church.
Then came news that two (unfortunate) DC National Guard troops were struck by lightning near Lafayette Square, at 17th St and Pennsylvania Ave. The pair was hospitalized shortly after midnight and suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries. It appears that they were not directly hit.
We wish them well.
Some might think that this was some sort of omen; that the gods are unhappy and venting off some anger at DC, the place where some of the most despicable men on Earth unleashed some of the most despicable acts of terror against humanity.
Apparently, a request had been sent and acknowledged -
Did She miss?
What do you think? 😄
