Unfortunately I have a terrible migraine and my nausea is even worse than normal due to my substance abuse rehabilitation medication and something else which is unknown. I also passed out recently due to two of my medications and one of them is my substance abuse rehabilitation medication which causes insomnia which ironically causes me to pass out and this last time it happened with a less than ideal result. But I am very hopeful that I will recover okay. It is a great gift to be on the recommended list! Thank you to my Daily Kos family that keeps me sane! It's more important than all but one person on Earth knows because of my situation being so isolated.
Kaitlan Collins exposed how dishonest Senator Ron Johnson is. Rarely will you see a sitting US Senator so completely and totally exposed as a liar. Good times !
Senator Ron Johnson, conspiracy theorist and coup helper, tried to make the claim that Democrats have done it too. For this to be accurate, the Democratic Party's nominee for president must have attempted to either take office or stay in office despite losing the election. For this is exactly what Donald Trump did. For there to be a written objection to counting electoral college votes there needs to be a member of each chamber supporting the objection. The morning after election day, November 2, in 2004, John Kerry called George W Bush and conceded the 2004 election. He did not support the effort of Senator Boxer to sign off on a written objection to counting the electoral college votes of Ohio. Senator Boxer stated that she was not doing this to dispute who won Ohio, but rather to highlight voter suppression in Ohio. There was not even close to a majority of democrats in either chamber supporting the objection to counting the electoral college votes of Ohio.

Kerry conceded defeat in a telephone call to Bush at around 11 a.m. EST (16:00 UTC) on the morning of November 3, 2004. Had Kerry won, he would have been the first incumbent senator since John F. Kennedy to be elected president. Edwards would have been the first vice president from North Carolina.

And
.
Defeated Democratic presidential candidate Sen. John F. Kerry of Massachusetts said this week he did not support the effort to challenge the Ohio results. On Thursday, Kerry was traveling in the Middle East.

The move was not designed to overturn the re-election of President Bush, said Ohio Rep. Stephanie Tubbs Jones and California Sen. Barbara Boxer, who filed the objection.
The objecting Democrats, most of whom are House members, said they wanted to draw attention to the need for aggressive election reform in the wake of what they said were widespread voter problems.
.
And
The House voted 267 to 31 to reject the objection. Democratic Reps. Barbara Lee of Oakland, Sam Farr of Carmel and Lynn Woolsey of Petaluma were among those who voted to sustain the objection. Boxer was on the losing end of a 74-1 vote.
.
Secretary Hillary Clinton called Donald Trump to concede the election the morning after election day 2016. Zero Senate Democrats joined their House counterparts to object to counting electoral college votes and Vice President Biden shut down his fellow Democrats who were showing their concern about Russian interference into the 2016 presidential election, not disputing who won it. The Senate Republican Report overseen by Senate Republican Marco Rubio acknowledged that Russia did interfere in the 2016 presidential election attempting to help Donald Trump win the presidential election.
.
Hillary Clinton called Donald Trump to concede the presidential election early Wednesday, her aspiration to become the first woman elected U.S. president dashed by the businessman's stunning, chaotic rise to the peak of American politics.
.
And
.
Biden loudly pounded his gavel and shouted over several objecting House Democrats, who answered by shouting the remainder of their objections. Each time, however, their pleas were shut down by the vice president and, a few times, by booing Republican lawmakers.
Biden made the Trump-Pence victory official when he declared the “announcement of the state of the vote by the president of the Senate shall be deemed sufficient declaration.”
Before entering the chamber, Biden and McConnell were deep in conversation. At one point, the outgoing vice president — a former senator — put his arm behind McConnell and gave the back of his neck a tight squeeze.
According to Article II [this is a mistake- it's in The Electoral Count Act] of the Constitution, any objections to the states’ electoral vote tallies must be signed by at least one senator and one representative. It appeared by Thursday evening that no senator was willing to join Perlmutter in throwing the final stage of the 2016 election into chaos.
.Perlmutter had said in a statement, according to The Denver Post. “This is not about trying to stop Donald Trump from becoming president. This is about the fact that our liberty, freedom and democracy were compromised by Russia’s intrusion into America’s election.”
And
WASHINGTON (AP) — The Trump campaign's interactions with Russian intelligence services during the 2016 presidential election posed a "grave" counterintelligence threat, a Senate panel concluded Tuesday as it detailed how associates of Donald Trump had regular contact with Russians and expected to benefit from the Kremlin's help.
The nearly 1,000-page report, the fifth and final one from the Republican-led Senate intelligence committee on the Russia investigation, details how Russia launched an aggressive effort to interfere in the election on Trump's behalf.

Kaitlan Collins points out how the 1960 example is absurd. She states that the election in Hawaii was nearly tied and that at the time a recount was still underway, the results were flipped, a judge ruled that the electors were legitimate, and Nixon himself, the then Vice President and thus President of the Senate, approved that slate of electors over his own slate of electors. In contrast she said, the recount in Wisconsin had already been completed and, thus, who won Wisconsin was not in dispute and Trump and his allies lost seven Wisconsin election related lawsuits. She also pointed out that Ron Johnson's chief of state was trying to deliver the alternate slate of electors to then Vice President Mike Pence.
.
Thus, 1960 is absurd.
.
You may wonder what the hell the reference to Democratic electors is about. This is so stupid and so clearly different that I can't believe that Ron Johnson would reveal his stupidity or dishonesty and cynicism by bringing it up. But he knows that MAGA won't actually read. These are actual legal and legally selected electors whom their states voted for. And what did they do? They were simply trying to convince their Republican elector counterparts to not vote for Donald Trump. Hardly the same thing. Not even close to a crime. Validly and legally chosen electors trying to persuade.
.
.
I have to conclude since Ron Johnson chose these examples that he knew they were vastly different, but he chose to use them anyway out of pure cynicism.
