Here in Las Vegas I am caregiver for my 81yo close friend who grew up in Oklahoma. Two of his sisters and a niece flew in from Tulsa very late Friday night for a week-long visit. My buddy is not doing well.
Wonderful folks! I have known them for years. They flew in around midnight Friday, fetched their rental car and got to his house shortly before 2 AM. Last evening (Saturday), after a stupendous meal of the world’s best pork chili verde, their cell phones all went off with tornado warnings at their homes in OK. We watched several hours in horror as real-time radar storm track images developed on wunderground.com.
Fortunately, as far as we know, their homes and loved ones were not injured or damaged. But, it was a scary episode as they all live fairly close to Tulsa. Our hearts go out to those who were not so lucky.
