We are told by the media that at their convention, Trump was once again anointed God Emperor of the Republicans. We are told by the media repeatedly, and in a multitude of sly, confidence-robbing ways, that he is inevitable. We are told by the media that Democrats are confused and disarrayed, while Republicans are united around their felonious wannabe tyrant.
In unity there is strength, but in division there is conquest.
Only this time, the media is telling us our nominee — has to go. He has to step aside, a mere four months before the election. Yup. He’s, ya know…[whispers] old…! And incapable and a dotard and just not up for the job, he’s tired, so tired, can’t you see how tired he is…wait — who is it that owns and controls the media again? Bunch of American oli-, oligarsh, hell, oli- something-something. Surely they wouldn’t benefit from Democrats losing across the boards, so the media remains totally credible…right?
Divide and conquer is the strategy of those who seek power at any cost. Divide and conquer is the weapon of the weak.
So don’t believe your lying eyes, when we are standing close enough to the old brink, the one Trump gave us last time, close enough to see how an apparently much, much, so much younger and youthful Joe of the past four years, saved this country, countless lives, the global economy, no! Don’t you believe that stuff! Look over here, instead…
When we are divided, our power is stolen from us. When we are divided, we are vulnerable to manipulation and exploitation.
Don’t you love that baseball analogy the media is shopping around, comparing Joe to an old, worn out — but champion! — baseball pitcher, who can still throw strikes, but not enough for the media, who inform us that every foul ball and walk is a disaster for Team America, and how Joe’s only America-loving-choice is to let a younger pitcher step in…
Divide and conquer, the oldest trick in the tyrant's playbook. Divide and conquer is a tool of control, used to keep the masses in check.
Not a single person in the media, not a single politician advocating for Joe to drop out — is naming names. No one is stepping forward and saying, “I can lead us to victory up and down the ballot!” No one is telling us, “I can beat Trump!” No one is giving us a plan for going forward. No one. Nope. Not a soul.
Oh, yeah…except for President Joe Biden.
United we can achieve greatness, but divided we become mere pawns. Only through unity can we overcome the barriers that divide us.
Just imagine for a moment, all Democrats uniting behind Joe. Imagine we stop listening to our fears, and concentrate instead on saving the future from the awful fate awaiting us all, should we remain divided about our lawful nominee.
Division is the breeding ground of hatred and strife. Division only benefits those who seek to control us.
How are you feeling right now, my fellow Dems? Confident? Feeling good about where we are heading? Or do you feel frightened, stressed, angry, resentful, and powerless, in the face of all of this angst over Joe? Think, maybe, this is the intended effect? Hmm?
True strength lies in our ability to remain united despite our differences. Divide and conquer creates chaos; unity brings peace.
I don’t know about the rest of you, but it sure feels like chaos rules and peace drools, right now. It sure seems like this is by design, not just some happenstance we all stumbled into.
Divide and conquer thrives on fear, but unity is built on love. In the face of division, our greatest weapon is solidarity. Divide and conquer may create temporary ruptures, but it cannot withstand the power of unity.
I’m for unity. I’m for Joe.
