FL-23 candidate Tim Canova.
Finally, the light at the end of the tunnel. Yes, the despised Debbie Wasserman Schultz is finally toast as DNC Chair. And burnt too. We have waited far too long for this, so I’m going to give everybody time for a quick “happy dance”. *:30 pause*
We all know that scandals in politics are nothing new, especially for incumbents. Charlie Rangel, John Ensign, David Vitter, Bob McDonnell, the list just goes on and on. But most of them have a common thread. They all involve either sex or corruption. When is the last time an incumbent was rocked by a scandal that involved malfeasance in their own party? The only recent one that comes to mind is Krispy Kreme with his “Bridgegate” scandal, and look what THAT did to his ratings?
Tim Canova has just hit the mother lode! Even before the Wikileaks e-mail scandal there were quiet rumbles that DWS would be taking a leave of absence after the convention because she felt the noose tightening in her primary with just over a month to go. Now, she’s going to have all the time in the world after Friday to concentrate on her campaign, but she’s going to have to stop off at a dry cleaners first to scrub all of the tar and feathers off of her outfit.
Tim Canova has to be running around his office giving himself high fives right now. The attack ads and stump speech lines write themselves. “How can you trust Debbie Wasserman Schultz to treat you fairly if she couldn’t even treat her fellow party members fairly?” “If Debbie Wasserman Schultz would break the rules for free for personal reasons, how do you think she’ll treat you when lobbyist issues are involved?” Those two just came to me off the top of my head while I was typing. If I sat back and thought about it, I could probably put together a blistering five minute attack in less than an hour.
Debbie Wasserman Schultz has now lost the two things no professional politician ever wants to give up. Her integrity and her trustworthiness. A standard stump line for her should have been, “You’ve always trusted me in the past, and you’ll be able to go right on trusting me in the future”. She can no longer make that argument and be taken seriously, and doesn’t dare to make it if she plans on debating Tim Canova before the primary. He’d tear her to shreds.
This is the break that Tim Canova has been waiting for. He now has his dominant campaign issue, and not just any issue but a “character” issue, full blown and played out in public. Gleefully documented by the national media and press. What more does a growing boy need?
Now is the perfect time for all Kossacks to get behind Tim Canova and put their shoulder to the wheel. If you want to learn more about Tim then click HERE. If you want to donate, you can click HERE. And if you want to be personally involved in helping Tim over the hump and into congress, you can click HERE.
Tim Canova has a real shot at taking her down, and we have the opportunity to help him put the Debbie Wasserman Schultz chapter of FL-23 politics int he rear view mirror and go to congress. Let’s not let it go to waste.
Thanks as always for reading, and GO Blue!
