US dollar stumbles to fresh lows
The dollar has fallen yet again
The US dollar dropped to a new record low against the euro and also slipped against other world currencies.
In early trading on Wednesday, one euro rose above $1.29 for the first time in its five-year history, before coming back in New York trade to $1.2803.
The UK pound also traded at $1.914 - a fresh 11-year high, before trading back down to $1.9043.

Dollar punches through US80c

The Australian dollar burst through the landmark US80c level last night for the first time in seven years and there are predictions it could surge to US90c and even towards parity with the American greenback.
The dollar hit a of US80.07c in the London trading zone, before falling back slightly - a remarkable comeback after plunging to a record low of US47.75c in early April 2001.

This does not seem to reflect International confidence in the US economy.
