An article in the
local Republican rag says that John Kerry is hot on the heels of President George W. Bush following Bush's rally Tuesday in Hedgesville with a visit of his own anticipated soon. The date and time have not been announced, but I'll keep you posted. All good Democrats in WV, PA, MD, DC, and VA who can make it, should do so. The announcement is expected in the next several days.
The taxpayers of Berkeley County shelled out a considerable sum of money to see the President on Tuesday, and Democrats are assuring local citizens that Kerry's visit will rival Bush's but not strain local coffers.
Teresa Heinz-Kerry is also coming to the Eastern Panhandle, with stops expected in Charles Town and Martinsburg, on Tuesday.
Friends, Romans, and Kossacks. Lend me your ears: Now let's come to the aid of the Eastern Panhandle Democrats soldiering on out there in the mined fields of GOPWorld. There is a poll on the web site of the local Republican rag that The Journal just refuses to take down.
When we Kossacks arrived yesterday, the answer to the question, "Will President Bush's Eastern Panhandle visit raise his popularity here?" was 60 percent yes and 40 percent no. Now it's 54.9% yes and 45.1% no. They apparently don't like the answer, because the poll just stays up and up. If you didn't vote "no" yesterday, please go and vote "no" today.
Let's blast `em into oblivion in the good ol' dKos fashion.
