For years now I have talking to people, writing blogs, and protesting. I ask you, has anything changed? You know the answer, it's no. Why is that? Why do people just seem to ignore what is happening?
No not all, there are a few of us that truly care about where this administration is heading, and want to make that change. Is it our fault, that the average attention span of Mr. and Mrs. Smith is on the same level as a forth grader. You are trained from day one of your schooling to be an upstanding member of society. You are punished in some way, shape, or form, if you step outside the lines. Just think back to when you were in grade school, and how you were taught. Read On.>>>
Those years were confusing for me, I was caught in between the so called changing of the guard. The teaching methods were in a transformation, literally Old School, to New School. What I mean by that is, in the first 6 years of my education I was taught by teachers that believed that the paddle was the best teacher.
My forth grade teacher Harry Wilson, believed that the "Apple Butter Stick" would help you remember your Times Tables. [The Apple Butter Stick was an old wooden spoon he had found in the old home ed. Room] When called on, if you made a mistake you were to slide over 4 inches and you got a crack with the Apple Butter Stick.
Then came fifth grade, and Mrs. Wilson, Harry's sister-in-law. When you were bad, didn't do homework or got a question wrong in class, the ruler with the steel edge across the knuckles. I was always forgetting my homework. I wonder if that is why I have arthritis in me right hand?
Sixth grade started the transaction to modern teaching; at least that is what it was called. As I have pointed out in the past, my sixth grade teacher is now my next store neighbor. He believed that threats worked better than paddling. The Gorge W. Bush approach, here's why I say that.
He used that technique for the first half of the year, and when that didn't work well out came the monster, 3 foot long, 4 inches wide, paddle. Oh yes, I felt that sting once or 20 times.
But the point I was getting to before this little history lesson was, why I am at the End of My Rope. In a way, we were being taught that to put the country first and our own needs last. Today people are just the opposite, and to the extremes. They don't care what happens outside of the bubble they call their life. Are these people unpatriotic? No they are just the opposite. That is what this administration wants from all of us. We are to sit in our bubbles see and except what is being fed to us as the truth. Unfortunately many have chosen this path, and will not be swayed.
So how do we get to these people? As we know from the poles the majority of the country disapproves of the job and direction Bush and his henchmen are taking this country. But thanks to the right-wing talking heads, even those who feel this way are made to believe they are falling for the left's tricks.
So now you can see why I am at the end of my rope. I just want to hang it up, let the country, and the world get what it really deserves. All it would take is the people and organizations that care what is going on, and have the foresight to see the next step on this dangerous journey we are being taken on, to step aside and let the administration finish what they have started without interference. I know that like me, they can't look into the eyes of their child and hand this world over to the likes of The PNAC/Bush administration, and tell that child, "You are on your own."
