I never thought I'd see the day when casually I'd read "FORMER PRESIDENT BUSH"
Finally after 8 long torturous years, these three simple words carry a weight and meaning that the whole world understands all as one...
I happened upon these words on "The Page" as Mark Halperin chronicles tomorrow's schedule of events.
9:55 am
Barack and Michelle Obama are greeted by President and Laura Bush as they arrive at the North Portico of the White House
then
10:05 am
Barack and Michelle Obama have coffee with the Bushes, Bidens and the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies Leadership in the Blue Room of the White House
then
12:00 pm
Barack Obama is sworn in as the 44th president of the United States by Supreme Court Chief Justice Roberts outside the Capitol. Followed by Obama's Inauguration speech
Finally
1:25 pm
Former President Bush makes remarks at his departure ceremony at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland
and
6:20 pm
Former President Bush makes remarks after arriving home in Midland, Texas
and
8:50 pm
Former President Bush and Laura Bush participate in a welcome home event in Waco, Texas
If there were a law that could be passed stripping "Former President Bush" of the words "Former President" it should be written and passed unanimously. "Former President Bush" can't come soon enough. Only 19 hours now.
Former President Bush... the sweetest, most joyful words I've heard all week.
