It means pro-birth. What happens after that is of no concern.
Life begins at conception and ends at birth. That is the position of most self described "pro lifers". If not they would work for pre and post natal care, early childhood development, a living wage for families, ending the death penalty, ending aggressive war, ending torture, and the list goes on.
Gary Norton comment in Healthcare FAIL: Jim DeMint NOT So Pro-Life After All A Diary by cskendrick
Thing is their policies kill thousands of babies that women WANT to have.
I have gathered many facts concerning Indiana so that people can write letters to the editor with the following purposes in mind:
- Letting people know whether their congress persons and Senators are really pro-Life;
- Letting people know that if they are pro-life that is a good reason why they should support healthcare reform with a public option;
- Hopefully getting more Representatives and Senators to support healthcare reform or at least blunt their criticism of it;and
- Educating people as to how a lack of healthcare affects fetuses,newborns and children so they become an advocate of healthcare reform.
I have prepared these facts for the State of Indiana. I hope people will go to Statehealthfacts and do the same for their state, so that, we can make this a nationwide project. Would a person from each State commit to adding such facts in the comments for their State so that we can have many people use them and flood the newspapers with letters to the editor.
