The Senate is not in session today.
Yeah, I took today's floor schedule from Eric Cantor's office instead of Steny Hoyer's. It's going to be the same information, of course, but as I've mentioned, setting the schedule is the prerogative of the Majority Leader, so it makes some sense to just take it from there. On the other hand, since it's going to be the same, I may want to evaluate whether one layout is easier or perhaps just more familiar to work with. We'll see how that shakes out.
Anyway, it's time to read the Constitution. So, you know, that's good. Participants will take turns and each read a portion. So it'll be like a giant, Republican Seder with a backwards Haggadah, 242 plagues, and featuring the country's bitterest herbs.
Hey, if they had just read the Preamble, it would have been sufficient!
Hiyo! Thank you! I'm here until the first day of Omer!
The only committee activity of which I'm aware is a 10 a.m. meeting of the Rules Committee, to consider a rule for the Baby-Killing Pre-Existing Condition Restoration Act.
The Rules Committee hearing room is not yet set up for online video, but I understand that's a goal for this year, which is always a great thing.
And just so you don't forget...
