In an interesting change of strategy:
“If I’m president of the United States, with your help, I will tell the truth, I will live with integrity and provide honor in the White House.”
Mitt Romney
Perhaps he could
start that now?
Mitt Romney's alarming amount of flip flops during his campaign (and prior) on major issues from his own healthcare initiative, pro choice, the Bush tax cuts, minimum wage, the NRA, shared sacrifice, the Grover Norquist tax pledge, same sex marriage, illegal immigration, stem cell research, don't ask don't tell and the list goes on and on, has brought up the serious questions whether Romney is capable of telling the truth at all.
Politifact tracker
Mostly false to pants on fire 52
Half true 32
Sort of true 18
True 23
So if we takes Mitt's new gold standard he scores
23 out of 125, or he is running at 18.4%.
One would have to give that an F by any standard.
Perhaps that should be his share of the vote, for the same gold standard Obama is running at 24% [86 of 360] but his trousers are smouldering considerably less.
Romney believes no matter what he says at any given time is what he stands for no matter what he has declared his position to be in the past. He now holds this belief for his future statements as well.
I suppose his truths are being held in an offshore account only to be repatriated when the conditions are right, so they cannot be subjected to public scrutiny, or subjected to a stress test.
