What's wrong with Mitt Romney? The guy's a walking freak show!
So last night I'm watching one of the political info-tainment shows on current or msnbc or some place. So all the talk is about the confrontation between Romney and teachers about the size of classes. While they're talking about this, they're playing a video of Romney at a Philadelphia elementary school.
I'm watching the video more than I'm listening to the pundits, and my jaw is dropping as I watch Mitt Romney work an elementary school class like it's a campaign rally! He's walking around a class of kids sitting in a computer class, and he's shaking each and everyone's hands. And all I can think is, WTF is wrong with this guy!
Now I don't have any kids, but I have been around plenty of the kids from family and friends, and I tend to think more like a kid than an adult. My first instinct is to try and make a kid laugh. My second instinct is to try and talk to them about something I think they're interested in, or say something to make them curious. My last instinct would be to walk around the room and shake hands with them like they were NASCAR team owners ready to write a check to the campaign.
And then I got to thinking about the diary showing President Obama interacting with a young kid. Here's the comparison between Obama and Romney and the way they interact with kids.
UPDATE: dmlht 66 has posted even better pictures in the comment section that shows the contrast between how the 2 people who would be your next president interact with kids.
I wish you could see the looks on these kids faces. No smiles, just total confusion about what the hell this guy is doing.
Now look at how President Obama interacts with kids.

And more from dmhlt 66:
Mitt Romney interacts with children like some Robber Baron from the 19th century. It makes me wonder if he treated his own children this way? Did his children have to come to supper in full suit and ties? When his kids misbehaved, did he make them miss one of their Polo lessons?
I tell you, Romney is so weird he makes Richard Nixon look like one of those inspirational speakers on PBS. With every passing day, Romney just shows more of his complete lack of an ability to connect with anyone who doesn't have 2 Cadillacs and a car elevator in the beach house, and he demonstrates how the entire Republican party is forever locked in a time warp in the Robber Baron 19th century.
