The NSA has taken it upon itself to protect us from all threats, including the insidious
crime of parody.
The U.S. National Security Agency and the Department of Homeland Security have threatened legal action to block the sale of T-shirts that ridicule these two powerful government agencies.
I don't know about the rest of you, but I feel much safer knowing that my government is
protecting me from satire.
After all, who knows where all this comedy might lead? Possibly even to questioning the
NSA's Star Trek Command Control.
Meanwhile, it appears that the Snowden Effect continues to build, further undermining the ability of the NSA to protect us from ourselves.
Results of a Harris Poll released this morning show four out of five people have changed the privacy settings of their social media accounts, and most have made changes in the last six months.
Some 40% of 2,089 survey takers, aged 18 and older, said they had made changes to their privacy settings in the last three months, and 53 percent in the last six months. The poll was taken in late September.
Even internet media companies are trying to make the NSA's job
harder. It's almost as if the country no longer wants freedom.
I believe it is time for all us to stand up for freedom by surrendering it to the NSA. That's what a real patriot would do.
