Work with me here...I need your help. Remember the David Allan Coe song, "She Never Even Called Me by My Name"? In case you don't, here it is. It was a gentle poke in the eye at the time it was released to the collective C&W audience, and a tongue in cheek song about how constricted the acceptable, or even mandatory, subjects of country songs had become. You have to listen to the song...
The break, in the middle of the song, where David talks about his conversation with the songwriter, Steve Goodman, and tells him it's not the greatest country song ever written because it doesn't touch certain bases, is the heart of the song...and the verse that follows is the poke in the eye.
So......I have long thought about a DKos diary that mirrors this song. I guy who thinks he has written the perfect DKos diary, and gets some advice.
"You haven't written the perfect Dkos diary until you mention this......."
I want to write the perfect DKos diary, given the set up here. What are the bases I need to cover, in order to write the perfect DKos diary?
White Priviledge
GLBT Rights
Gluten free food
Support for public employees
Support for stringent gun control
pooties and woozles
cops roughing up someone in a wheelchair
profiling
You guys take it from here...I want this to be a David Allen Coe version of a DKos diary....I want it to cover all the obvious bases. There's just so damned many of them, that I need your help.
What would the "perfect" DKos diary look like? What would it cover? How many bases would it cover?
I need your feedback. If you think you can write it yourself, please submit it below. If you merely want to submit a topic that absolutely must be included in "the perfect DKos Diary", please submit the topic below in the comment section.
I will incorporate all of the feedback I get and write, I promise, the best DKos diary ever.
