Freddie Gray being loaded into the Baltimore Police Van.
Again, because the Baltimore Police refuse to release any real statements from the officers involved in the April 12th arrest and April 19th death of Freddie Gray, we are forced to become citizen investigators. As more facts become evident, it is increasingly clear that what happened on April 12th violated multiple department policies and caused catastrophic injuries to Gray, who was completely unresponsive by the time police arrived at the Western District Station.
The police as you will see in the photo below,
In this article, I exposed the lies that Freddie Gray caused his own injuries. He didn't.
In fact, on April 24th, the police themselves admitted that Freddie Gray was severely injured and in need of medical attention before he was placed in the van.
Baltimore deputy police commissioner Kevin Davis confirmed Friday that Freddie Gray, who was taken into custody after fleeing from police had already been injured before he was carried to the police van.
"And quite frankly that's exactly where Freddie Gray should have received medical attention," said Davis. "He did not."
What they aren't saying is that
it is an egregious violation of multiple department polices for police to ignore the injuries of someone in custody. Every single officer and spectator
who saw and heard Freddie Gray during his arrest knew that he was critically injured and in excruciating pain.
His legs were limp, his neck already appears to be in great pain, and he is yelling in discomfort. This is a textbook case of someone needing immediate medical attention. Yet, instead of calling medics for a man who clearly wasn't a flight risk or taking Freddie Gray on a two minute ride to the precinct, they began a fatal 40 minute ride which effectively killed him. He never spoke another word again.
The drive from the exact point where Freddie Gray was arrested to the Western District station was a 2 minute drive over a 0.5 mile distance. It was literally five city blocks away and takes just a few minutes to walk.
Newly released evidence now shows that Freddie Gray was deliberately taken far outside of the 2 minute route to the police station. Mind you,
the only person to not yet give a statement to the police is the driver of this van.
After driving one city block from where they arrested Freddie, the police van pulled over. Police claim that this is where they shackled his legs. They are now just four blocks away from the precinct in a drive that would've taken them about 90 seconds.
This is the exact moment where the Baltimore Police decided that they were going to critically injure or kill Freddie Gray.
As you will see below, the driver of the van, just four blocks away from the precinct, decided not to drive those four blocks and to instead drive Freddie Gray far outside of the path to the police station on stops that were not previously reported by police.
Here is the actual trip that the Baltimore Police took Freddie Gray on
First, the police drove Freddie Gray to the corner of Freemont and Mosher St. far away from the police station. Here, the police van made a stop that they never reported before. This stop was recorded by the security cameras of a corner store.
The owner of the store stated that police came and took the video last week. This is stop number 3 on the graphic above.
From there, the police van drove nearly two miles away from the police station all the way to the corner of Dolphin and Druid Hill Avenue. This is stop 4 on the graphic above.
It is important to note that these stops had absolutely nothing to do with the additional person who was eventually picked up. They were complete deviations from the route to the police station.
At this point, Freddie Gray was taken on a deliberate rough ride. This is not the first time that citizens have been critically injured by Baltimore Police in a rough ride in which the van drives erratically to deliberately injure people. Multiple men were permanently paralyzed by these rides before.
UPDATE: These officers were just charged for their role in the murder of Freddie Gray.
