Vasilaki Moulitsas
Ten days ago I
told you guys about the young son of one of my cousin, Vasilakis, who faces a deadly heart condition untreatable in Greece. His Greek doctors have referred him to Boston Children's Hospital for further testing and possible treatment. However, the $100,000 cost (just for the testing phase) was proving a hindrance.
I pointed you to his GoFundMe page, and despite posting on a Sunday, you all responded with over $20,000 raised ($26.5K total)! That was amazing and I am eternally grateful to you all.
I just heard that Vasilaki's family just secured a grant to cover the balance of that $100,000 from the Hellenic Cardiac Fund (a charity somehow affiliated with Children's Hospital, though I can't find any web presence), so he'll be coming to the states soon for this phase of his treatment.
The medical costs are only part of the expense of such treatment, with his family forced to travel far from home. So your help will go a long way to making this all possible. So thanks, truly, from the bottom of my heart. And if you are so inclined, this is just the first step in a long road for Vasilakis, so if you are so inclined, any additional help will still be incredibly appreciated and welcome.
Thank you.
